Across more than two decades in professional kitchens, Kuldeep Singh has built a record of recognition spanning some of the world's most respected hospitality brands. His longest and most decorated relationship was with Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta, where his consistency in service delivery and guest satisfaction earned him repeated honours under the hotel's Customer Delight Program. In 2013 and again in 2014, he received the Diamond Star award — the program's highest tier — after being named an eight-time Silver Star winner in each of those years. In between, he also collected Gold Star and additional Silver Star recognitions, alongside the Trainer of the Year title in 2013 for his contribution to staff training and development, later followed by Trainer of the Month honours.
His most significant career milestone, however, came outside the hotel's own award system. In October 2019, the Embassy of India in Manila awarded him the "Best Indian Chef" Honours Certificate in recognition of his work during the State Visit of the President of India to the Philippines. Singh led the kitchen at Shangri-La Makati, which hosted the President and the official Indian delegation from 17 to 21 October 2019, and his food was singled out for praise by the visiting dignitaries — a rare distinction tying his craft directly to a moment of diplomatic significance between India and the Philippines.
Beyond these standout honours, Singh's record includes an appreciation letter from Golden Sands Resort, Penang, for successfully managing food service for the 2009 Amway India Annual Leadership Conference, attended by more than 1,400 delegates, as well as recognition from Shangri-La Dubai for executing the hotel's Diwali festival celebrations. He also holds a Food Safety & Hygiene certification from RMK The Experts, Dubai Knowledge Village, and completed Shangri-La's internal Food Safety Management System training — credentials that reflect not just culinary creativity but operational rigour, a combination that has defined his reputation across every kitchen he has led.
