The new platform is a key part of the foundation's "circularity model." It allows individuals to stake pREWA tokens to earn rewards, while simultaneously generating funds for Dharitri's pilot project in Ngarariga, Kiserian, and Ruiru.
This initiative is designed to tackle the massive $150 billion credit gap that prevents smallholder farmers from accessing the financial tools they need to combat climate change and food insecurity.

The model is designed for tangible impact. When users stake pREWA tokens, they not only earn rewards but also help capitalize the foundation's on-the-ground operations.
These funds are channeled directly to farmer services, most notably the 5% loans offered to community groups in the Kenyan pilot. This capital is essential for farmers to transition to regenerative agriculture - a nature-based solution that ends reliance on synthetic fertilizers and protects biodiversity.

Real-World Impact in Limuru, Kiserian, and Ruiru
This project directly supports farmers like Thomas Njoroge from Limuru, who has seen his harvest ruined by drought and frost. For farmers like him, who rely on a single annual harvest, a "bad year" can threaten his family's livelihood.
Dharitri's initiative provides a solution by:
● Providing Capital: Offering 5% loans so farmers can invest in their land.
● Training Farmers: Teaching regenerative methods like composting, cover cropping, and reduced tilling to build healthy soil that resists drought.
● Ensuring Quality: Sourcing high-quality seedlings from trusted propagators like Plantech Kenya to guarantee a better harvest.
● Building Community: Training farmers to work as a group for better advocacy and support.
