Shri Aneesh Sarkar, an initiated disciple of Srimad Bhakti Jiban Acharya Maharaj of Kharagpur Gaudiya Matha, belongs to the Madhvacharya sampradaya, one of the four Vaishnava communities categorized by Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. He adheres to the principles of Gaudiya Vaishnavism, as propagated by Shri Mahaprabhu and further emphasized by Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Thakur Prabhupada, the founder of the Gaudiya Matha. Shri Aneesh Sarkar is a pure vegetarian who observes the Ekadashi vrata and other Vaishnava Vrats, including Janmashtami, Radha Ashtami, Nrisingha Chaturdashi, and Ram Navami, and delivers spiritual discourses (Hari katha) in his spare time. He is also associated with Pravupad Saraswati Seva Mandal (PSSM), a spiritual non-profit organization dedicated to propagating the Hari Naam Mahamantra.
