The Unity Drive is a nationwide movement aimed at empowering women at the grassroots level, by driving across India and initiating action-oriented campaigns that foster dignity, opportunity, and long-term change.
The highlight of the initiative is a nationwide roadshow, the first phase of which kicks off on May 15 from Hyderabad to Spiti Valley. This unique journey will span thousands of kilometers, covering diverse terrains, cultures, and communities, with one core mission — to reach, engage, and uplift women across urban and rural India.
Unlike traditional awareness campaigns, Unity Drive combines education, infrastructure development, and community engagement. Its objectives are multifaceted:
● Skill Development & Financial Independence: Workshops will be conducted along the route to teach financial literacy, digital skills, and entrepreneurship basics. The goal is to equip women with tools that foster sustainable income generation and economic freedom.
● Sanitation & School Infrastructure: A major focus is the construction of toilets in girls' schools and colleges, especially in remote villages where basic sanitation remains a barrier to education. This initiative addresses a critical need that impacts school attendance, personal hygiene, and the dignity of young girls.
● Community Interaction & Awareness: The team will interact with local communities, organize open forums, and spotlight local stories of female resilience and leadership. The message is clear — every woman has potential, and the right environment can help her rise.
● Policy and Support: Unity Drive also aims to bring local leaders, educators, influencers, and NGOs on board to amplify the conversation around gender equality and implement real change on the ground.
